The Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes has launched a community outreach campaign aimed at educating the public about sex trafficking and offering help to victims. Sex trafficking exists in Central Brooklyn, and its victims are often girls between the ages of 13-15, and/or undocumented immigrant girls and women. DA Hynes has taken a hard approach against this crime by establishing a Brooklyn Sex Trafficking Unit- or BK STU- to work with victims of sex trafficking.
